Marketing and Event Coordinator

Dalia is an experienced Marketing Coordinator and Creative Event planner with Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, with a Major inTheatre from Concordia University. Outgoing, passionate, resourceful and versatile, she began organizing events as a teenager and won the award for most 'Self Actualized Student' in her graduating year at Dawson College after organizing a college wide 'Coffee House/Talent show' for sold out audiences in which she also performed. Her motto has always been'If there is a will there must be a way'.
Dalia has a progressive 4 year background in the marketing industry. She specializes in: Coordination, Development, Management and Product Promotions. She has managed and organized numerous events throughout Quebec, the Maritimes, as well as the rest of Canada for several national marketing companies including Gobee Inc and Tigris Personnel. Dalia has an excellent track record as a team leader, a team player and has exceptional problem solving abilities. From recruiting, hiring, conducting training sessions, team management and mentorship, logistics, shipping, scheduling, payroll, client relations, Dalia does it all. Self-motivated, bilingual and highly independant, Dalia has recruited teams of up to 50 people at a time and has managed up to 6 different client programs at a time for companies such as: Dove, Knorr, Crayola, Rogers, Cococola, Axe, Telus, KIA, Hyundai, Ford, Lincoln, Infiniti, Speedstick, Sony, LG, Tissot and Chef Boyardee among others.
As an event planner, Dalia specializes in developing multiple disciplinary events that require a strong artistic vision. Her background in the performing arts gives her a high level of creativity and is the basis for her superior interpersonal skills and presentational ability. Her creative event portfolio includes: Creative Director and developer for the W Hotel's New years Eve party 2008 and 2009. She also coordinated the Just For Laughs exhibit launch for 'The Art of Hockey' and was the creative developer for an Amazing Race which accomodated 250 Aeroplan employees for the company Atmosphere Communications. To push the spectrum further, she also recently assisted in the development of a focus group event for international musician/singer/songwriter ‘Zane’.
In PR, Dalia has worked with several local theatre companies handling all sponsorship, fundraising and PR. Her initiatives resulted in major press coverage, interviews with local radio and TV stations and sold out audiences. People who know her would say that she is a go getter and has an extreme passion for life and when she puts her mind and passion into something, the sky is the limit.
